Zachary Hemmelgarn is a Senior Associate at the Office of Thierry W Despont Ltd. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, and received his Master of Architecture degree from Yale University in 1997. Since receiving this degree he has worked as an architect and designer in New York City.

At the Office of Thierry W Despont he has been involved in a number of projects, including private residences in New York, San Francisco, and London. He has worked on hotel and retail projects in New York, London, Paris and Milan. His focus is on interior architecture and design. He was project manager for the Chatwal Hotel in New York, which was completed in 2010. He is currently working on the renovation of the Ritz Hotel in Paris.
